After winning the BBC Young Musician of the Year back in 1980, Nicholas Daniel’s career has blossomed and he is widely regarded as one of the finest oboists in the world. In the Britten Oboe Quartet he is joined by the string principals of the Britten Sinfonia, of which he is also a member. Their programme gives us a number of overlooked, tuneful, gems from the 20th Century.
