We welcome back the Sacconi Quartet, who played for us twice in 2007, and Robert Plane, principal clarinet of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, who came with the Gould Piano Trio in February 2012. Their programme includes three very different works for clarinet and strings culminating in Weber’s exuberantly virtuoso Quintet from 1815.
