This concert was originally due to be on March 20th 2020 and had to be cancelled, at less than a week’s notice, when the first lockdown was imposed. So it seems appropriate that it should restart our ‘live’ activities. The Fitzwilliam Quartet celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2019 and have been coming to Bromsgrove regularly since the 1970s. They are particularly well known for their championship of Shostakovich, who entrusted them with the Western premieres of his last 3 Quartets.
